Pittsford Girls Youth Summer Camp - August 8-11

Come have a great time with the Pittsford lax family and get coached by the current varsity coaches and current and former players that have won three straight sectional titles.  Our camp is great for both experienced and brand new players! Register ASAP to make sure you get a t-shirt!

If you no longer have a young laxer, please send this to friends that do.  It takes the entire community to build a great program!

See the brochure for details and registration form.

Pittsford Lacrosse Girls Youth Summer Program (K-2)

Pittsford Lacrosse is conducting a summer lacrosse program for girls who just completed grades K through 2 this past school year, regardless of playing experience. Details of the program are on the Registration page of the website (and also below for your convenience): http://pittsfordlacrosse.org/Registration/Default.asp?n=44116&org=pittsfordlacrosse.org

We focus on teaching lacrosse in a fun and positive manner, with lots of touches, reps, activity, energy, and enthusiasm. The girls have a great time.

Register by Friday, July 15, so that we can prepare for the expected number of players.

Also, if you know of any girls who do not yet play lacrosse, please forward this message to them. We are continuing to grow the program so that we can sustain the excellence of recent years (the girls varsity team were state finalists this season and state semi-finalists last season!).

Let me know if you have any questions at all. Just reply to this email.

Soft-Stick Equipment Received From US Lacrosse

Today we received the Soft-Stick Equipment from US Lacrosse as a result of the grant awarded to PCLI last month. The equipment includes:

  • 30 soft lacrosse sticks
  • 30 soft lacrosse balls
  • 1 copy of the US Lacrosse PE Curriculum Guide and Reproducible packet
  • 1 copy of the Teaching Soft-Stick Lacrosse DVD

We are very excited about the possibilities of using this equipment to introduce new players to lacrosse in a safe and fun environment, where no equipment needs to be purchased by the player. Stay tuned as we develop our programs.

PCLI Awarded US Lacrosse Soft-Stick Equipment Grant

PCLI Community:

Good news! US Lacrosse has awarded PCLI with a Soft-Stick Equipment Grant!

Through this grant, PCLI will receive the following:

  • 15 blue (or green) soft lacrosse sticks
  • 15 red (or yellow) soft lacrosse sticks
  • 30 orange soft lacrosse balls
  • 1 copy of the US Lacrosse Physical Education Curriculum Guide and Reproducible Packet
  • 1 copy of the US Lacrosse Teaching Soft-Stick Lacrosse DVD, a video-based workshop for PE Teachers and recreational program leaders

The Soft-Stick equipment is a great way to introduce lacrosse to new players, especially younger kids. No equipment needs to be purchased by the player, not even a mouth guard. It is a safe, non-contact version of lacrosse using soft sticks and balls.

I've got some ideas for putting the Soft-Stick equipment to good use. If you have ideas, let me know by sending me an email at .
